Thoughtfully designed 21 m² igloos for up to 2 adults feature a queen-size bed positioned for uninterrupted views of the surrounding trees. A heated panoramic glass roof opens the Arctic sky above, allowing for Aurora and stargazing from the comfort of your bed.
Each igloo includes a private indoor sauna and an outdoor hot tub, creating a quiet retreat immersed in Lapland’s landscape.

Guided by the dedicated husky mushers, you'll get first-hand knowledge about the Siberian Huskies, who pull your sleigh with joy and enthusiasm.
Midway through the ride, you'll have the opportunity to cuddle with huskies and take photos against the beautiful winter scenery. Sharing a sleigh with a companion, this is the point where you can switch drivers.

We begin the journey with a scenic snowmobile sleigh ride through the historic herding landscapes of Mellavaara. At the hilltop, we’ll gather inside a cozy, private kota hut to light a campfire. While your guide prepares traditional Finnish pancakes (muurinpohjalettu) over the open flame, you’ll have the chance to try your hand at lasso throwing (suopunginheitto)—a vital skill used by reindeer herders for centuries.
When you're out here under the Arctic sky, time seems to fly by. We are proud to say that the Lapland experience doesn't get more authentic than this. It’s a genuine glimpse into our way of life, plain and simple.

Dining at Halo Hillside
Tokka is Finnish for a reindeer herd, a nod to the reindeer that spend the winter here at Hillside.
Mornings begin with a buffet breakfast. In the evening, dinner brings the flavours of the North to the table, from freshwater fish to reindeer, cooked simply and served without hurry.
Between meals, the Lounge and the Reindeer Hut are there for a warm drink by the fire. Light snacks are served in the afternoon.
Breakfast is included in every stay. Dinner is included from October to the end of March.
